In the River

The most recent theme for the Give-Me-A-Prompt group is "steampunk" and after seeing ~iexisttolive's contribution [link] I felt inspired to draw one as well.

In the rough sketch she's leaning forward a little more, trying to keep her dress out of the water while a city burns in the background. I'm afraid the final version is a little boring in comparison! But I had a lot of fun designing to costume. Hopefully it's "steampunk" enough as I've never really paid much attention to the style before.

This lovely lady is actually a keeper of time. It's her job to make sure that everything runs smoothly, though sometimes her plans go awry or she is forced to make hard decisions for the greater good.
